Support the Arts at Wesley

The mission of the Henry Luce III Center for the Arts and Religion is to explore the intersection of art and faith; to encourage dialogue between artists and theologians; to help artists find ways to join their faith and their art; to help local churches discover ways to include the arts as a medium of transformation and hope; and to remind the Church Universal that the arts are intrinsic to the full expression of what it means to be created in the image of God.

Through exhibitions and gallery talks in the Dadian Gallery; support for artists with studio space, housing, and small stipends for residencies ranging from a few weeks to a full academic year; modeling the incorporation of liturgical dance, chancel drama, and other artistic forms in worship services; and offering lectures, dramatic productions, concerts and other events to anyone who wants to attend.

We are grateful to Henry Luce III, whose generous gift furnished the seed money for the creation of the Luce Center. Please prayerfully consider building on Mr. Luce’s legacy by supporting the ongoing work of the Center for the Arts and Religion at Wesley Theological Seminary, whose programs demonstrate how art and faith can transform the church and the world.
